Gov Masari approves rebuilding of Kofar Marusa ancient gate
The Katsina State Governor Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari has approved for the rebuilding of the ancient Kofar Marusa gate in Katsina metropolis.
The Governor made this known when he received the proposal for the project presented to him by an architectural and building firm, Bold Space led by its Chairman, Architect Faisal Jafar Rafindadi at his office.
Katsina Post learnt Architect Rafindadi also doubled as the Chairman of National Coordinator, Katsina National Talent Hunt Challenge Project.
While accepting the proposal, Governor Masari also expressed delight over the quality of the work that will be done.
The rebuilding of the gate will cost a little over N14m.
Recall that earlier in February, Katsina Post reported authoritatively that Governor Masari had already wrote to Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman informing him about the plan of its reconstruction.
Kofar Marusa is among the number of gates that leads to the ancient city which is the only gate that is yet to be reconstructed since its inception.
