Group wants Senator Yar’Adua as Katsina governor in 2023
Kaduna State residents who are indigenous to Katsina State have appealed to Senator Abubakar Sadiq Yar’Adua to vie for the governorship position of the state in 2023 general elections so as to rescue the state.
In a chat with reporters in Kaduna, the leader of the group, Aliyu Danmusa said in the present circumstance and situation that Katsina as a state has found itself, there would be no better candidate that will salvage the situation than Senator YarAdua.
According to him, Senator YarAdua’s track record as a member of the House of Representatives and as a Senator leaves no one in doubt of his ability to bring the desired changes in governance to Katsina State.
“Although he granted an interview recently where he said it was not yet time for him to declare his intentions, we are appealing to him to consider the masses who are calling on him to come for a rescue mission.
“The current governor, Aminu Bello Masari has done well, hence the need for a very capable hand in the person of Senator YarAdua to take over from him and build on the good legacies already in place.
“Only recently, he built an orphanage home and gave it out to JNI for use to cater for orphans in the state, coupled with his developmental strides while a Senator which nobody has beaten.”
Danmusa, therefore, on behalf of the entire people of Katsina State also called on those indigenous to Katsina at home and in the Diaspora to help in appealing to Senator Yar’Adua to humbly yield to this call for a rescue mission.
