Katsina State Ranked High In Ease Of Doing Business – Report
Katsina state has clinched ninth position in the Ease of Doing Business Survey results released by the federal government.
The results, as seen by Katsina Beat, showed that the results included all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, making it 37 states.
The survey, conducted by the KMPG was sponsored by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) between November 2020 and January 2021.

This reporter finds out that “each state was rated based on a ten point scale across the indicators, which provided the basis for calculating the overall performance of the state.”
According to the indicators, Katsina state has 4.54 in electricity, 4.54 in transportation, 6.61 in primary health care and 4.60 in security. While Investment promotion garnered 4.96, state information structures has 6.51 and paying taxes has 6.05.
Starting business 6.45, 6.70 for enforcing contracts, technical and professional skills polled 6.67 and 9.02 for land, property acquisition and development.
The overage average total score stands at 6.14 and the position stands at ninth.
FCT Abuja clinched first, Sokoto state second and Jigawa third. Fourth position went to Bauchi and Akwa Ibom states, sixth to Kebbi, seventh to Anambra while the eighth position went to Info state.
