Katsina Institute of Technology partners PTDF on students’ ICT training sponsorship
The Rector, Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management, KSITM Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba has received the Executive Secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Dr. Bello Aliyu Gusau on a working visit to the Institute.
The visit was meant to assess the facilities on ground to enable the PTDF collaborate with the Institute for the Sponsorship of Youths across the Country to acquire various ICT Skills proposed by the management.
This is contained in a statement signed by the institute’s Head, Information and Public Relations, Aminu Magaji Idris and made available to newsmen including Katsina Post.
The Executive Secretary was conducted round various ICT laboratories that would serve as training venues for the participants which upon completion would enable them become self reliants and productive members of the modern IT world.
While conducting the PTDF Boss round the facilities, the Rector Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba revealed that the proposed training will cover 600 participants to be drawn from across the 36 States of the Federation.
The training to be offered include; Computer Hardware repairs and maintenance, website/Database design, graphics design, phone installation and maintenance, internet of thing (IoT), Video and Audio Editing, embedded system, Networking essentials, Fibre Termination, Installation and repairs, PCB Design and production as well as 3D design and production.
The Executive Secretary was highly impressed by the State of-the-art facilities at the Institute and expressed profound gratitude over the warm reception accorded to him during the visit.
