Good Governance Group Honor Masari’s Aide, Uche Okonkwo
The Special Assistant to Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Indeginous Nigerians Matters Prince Uche Okonkwo has been conferred with an award of excellence as Ambassador of Peace and Stability in Northern Nigeria.
The award was presented to the Special Assistant by the Katsina State Chapter of Good Leadership Club during a Special Prayer of Peace and Stability in the state and the country as a whole.
The award was presented to the Special Assistant by the group’s Chairman, Comrade Shehu Usman Yusuf Kofar Soro before many leaders and stakeholders of non indigenous groups in the State.
in recognition of his commitment in uniting Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religious differences.
The award was also presented to the celebrant for his effort in justifying the confidence reposed in him by Governor Aminu Masari.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, the Special Assistant who promised to do more, said the gesture will serve as a morale booster to him in the discharge of his assigned duty by the State Governor.
Prince Uche Okonkwo used the opportunity to comment on the recent move by some unpatriotic people who are creating chaos in the name of seeking for creation of Biafra Nation.
The Special Assistant said the move will only cause lost of lives adding that those behind the move are not living in the affected States and have no stake whatsoever like companies or any asset at the areas.
He therefore enjoined people of the affected states to distance themselves from joining the move as it will only cause them to regret.
While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for his zeal in overcoming the problem,Prince Uche Okonkwo prayed for Allah’s guidance to him in justifying the confidence reposed in him.
The Special Assistant also commended Governor Aminu Masari for the opportunity given to him to serve the state and assured to continue remaining committed in justifying the confidence reposed in him.
Other Speakers at the occasion include the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Katsina State non indigenous Muslims, Alhaji Abubakar Wazirin Nufawan Katsina and the President on Non indigenous people living in Katsina State, Mr Kunle Awe described the celebrant Prince Uche Okonkwo as icon of peace who had for long contributing in ensuring peace in the State.
