Customs Raid Katsina APC Chairman’s Cars Retail Company, Maslah Motors
Men and officers of the Nigeria Customs service have raised the business premises of Maslaha Motors belonging to the Katsina APC chairman, Shitu S. Shitu where they seized no fewer than 20 cars.
The customs carried the raid in the early hours of Tuesday around 1:30am.
Addressing newsmen on the early morning raid, the Managing-Director, Maslaha Motors, Alhaji Muhammad Shuaibu Shitu said the customs used towing van to moved the seized cars out of the premises.
“I wonder how they broke our gate and gain access into the premises when they already have the gate keys with them”, he said.
He further noted that the raid came to them as a surprise as according to him some of the cars carted away have customs duty.
Shitu therefore alleged that there was a political motive behind the alleged constant harassment and intimidation of the company.
He therefore alleged that it was one military officer working with the customs, Isa Buhari that is responsible for their predicament.
Shitu alleged that the custom CG, Hamid Ali is a dishonest and corrupt person, stressing “on this I stand by my words”.
