Gov Masari commissions Community Conflict Resolution Center in Katsina
Katsina State Governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari assured that arrangements are on for the takeoff of the Security Councils across the State.
The Governor disclosed this during the official commissioning Ceremony of Dandagoro Community conflict and dispute resolution Center established by Katsina State Judiciary.
Governor Aminu Masari said a training program would soon be conducted to all relevant Stakeholders that would man the activities of the security Councils to ensure effective service delivery.
The Governor explained that the objective of the security Councils are to promote security, peace and tranquility at Local, Ward and District levels in the State.
He pointed out that the establishment of the Conflict and Dispute Resolution Centers in the State was in view of the increasing rate of Security challenges in some Cities and Localities in the State.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari noted that the Centers would contribute towards improving peace, unity and understanding among Communities through settling minor conflicts.
He observed that the earlier pilot conflict and Dispute resolution Centers established at Kwado, Kambarawa and Makera Communities have started yielding the desired result.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari who stressed the need for people to always be security conscious re-affirmed Government commitment to come up with ideas aimed at enhancing security and peaceful co-existence across the State.
