Katsina gov’t inaugurate white paper c’ttee on report of Katsina market fire incident
Katsina State Government has inaugurated a White Paper Committee to work on the report submitted to it by the Administrative Committee on the fire incident that ravaged the Fatima Baika Market, Katsina.
Inaugurating the White Paper Committee on behalf of Governor Aminu Bello Masari, the Secretary to the Government of theState, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa said members were to come up with a White Paper on recommendations contained in the report recently submitted by a High Powered Committee which investigated the unfortunate incident.
Mustapha Inuwa said that the Committee is expected to submit the White Paper on the 18th of May, 2021 for onward presentation to the State Executive Council.
He expressed the commitment of Governor Aminu Masari to implement the recommendations of the Administrative Committee.
The SGS said the Governor approved the appointment of members of the White Paper Committee considering their wealth of experience and relevance to the job.
The Committee has SA, Human Capital, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu as Chairman and the SA Power and Energy, Alhaji Mansir Musa, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Security, Sulaiman Yakubu Safana, Permanent Secretary Works, Housing and Transport, Bilyaminu Muhammed and the Director Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, Abdulrahman Umar, as members while the Director Cabinet, Governor’s office, Sulaiman Kankia was to serve as Secretary of the Committee.
Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Lawal Aliyu thanked the Governor for finding them worthy of the job and promised to deliver within the stipulated period.
