Breaking: Katsina gov’t bans traditional Tashe, orders arrest of defaulters
The Katsina State Government under the leadership of Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari has announced the total ban on the traditional Tashe activities that is usually being conducted in the month of Ramadan.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the state’s Commissioner of Information, Abdulkarim Yahaya Sirika dated Tuesday, 27th April, 2021 and seen by Katsina Post.
The statement reads in part: “Katsina State Government is hereby announcing the total ban on the traditional Tashe activities that is usually being conducted in the month of Ramadan.
“The State Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari gave the directives for the ban following some security reports.
“The attention of the General Public, most especially parents is by this announcement therefore, drawn on the need to control and guard their children/ward not to undertake the TASHE activities across the State.
“The State Governor has directed security operators to arrest anybody found violating the directives.
“It is therefore, hoped that people will comply and abide by this directives, please.”
