Ramadan: Katsina gov’t reduces working hours for civil servants
The Katsina State government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari has approved the downward review of the working time for civil servants in the state during the Ramadan fasting period.
This is contained in a circular issued from the state’s Head of Service dated 19th April, 2021 and signed by Usman Isyaku, the Permanent Secretary, Establishment of the office.
The circular reads in part: “Following the commencement of this year’s Ramadan Fasting by Muslim faithfuls, I am directed to inform you that His Excellency, the Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, CFR has granted approval for the review of official working hours during the period of Fasting (month of Ramadan) to enable workers to attend to religious activities particularly (Tafsir) effective from 13th April, 2021 as per below:
“Monday to Thursday for 7:30am – 2:30pm and Friday for 7:30am-12:00 noon.”
