Group In Katsina South Calls For Creation of Karaduwa Emirate
Some groups of people in Katsina South Senatorial Zone has began calls to the Katsina State government for the creation of Karaduwa Emirate.
In an interview with DW Hausa reporter in Katsina, Muhammad Aliyu Malumfashi, a former member House of Representatives in the second republic and elder statesman in the zone said the creation of the emirate is long overdue.
According to him, the zone has been suffering from neglect in terms of education and he believed creation of the emirate will help in tackling the insecurity affecting the zone.
“The creation of additional emirate will surely help in arresting the rising insecurity and criminality especially in Karaduwa because larger chunk of the affected communities being affected by the insecurity are here.
“But if we have our own Emir, I believe he will initiate a tour to every nooks and crannies of his domain and ensure that normalcy returns”, he said.
He added that he is not saying the current Katsina Emir is not doing his best, but they too should have their own because the masses needs their leader close to them and the Katsina Emir is far from them.
