Katsina gov’t enrols over 69,000 workers into Contributory Health Care Scheme
69,000 Katsina state civil servants would be enrolled into the Contributiory Health Care Scheme, the Director General of the scheme, Muhammad Tukur Safana has said, Katsina Beat reports.
Speaking during a a two day training organized for enumerators, Safana said the fifty enumerators were carefully selected based on merit.
He said they would be trained on how to register beneficiaries of the scheme set to commence on the 19 of this month.
According to Safana, beneficiaries were entitled to choose any accredited hospital of their choice to enjoy the service.
In his remarks, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Kabir Mustapha called on the enumerators to be fair while undertaking the exercise for the smooth enrolment of the civil servants.
He commended Gov. Masari for introducing the program, noting that the enrolment would afford civil servants the opportunity to enjoy easy access to health care.
Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Scheme in the state, Alh. Abdullahi Sani, also charged the enumerators to justify the confidence reposed on them.
