Mashi/Dutsi Federal Lawmaker Expends N500m For Human Dev’t Of Constituents
The Honorable member representing Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency, Honourable Mansur Ali Mashi said he has set aside no less than N500m for human developmental projects and programs to historic constituency before the end of his tenure in 2023.
The human capital development projects include N300m empowerment items and N200m training packages on modern Agricultural techniques.
The lawmaker stated this in an interview with newsmen shortly after he was distributed empowerment items to hundreds of people from his constituency on Monday.
The empowerment items distributed include motorcycles, tricycles, grinding and sewing machines and other agricultural equipment.
According to him before the end of this political dispensation, many more people will benefit from the empowerment programs.
“My plan is for each and every body that support us in any way to benefit from my empowerment programmes”, he said.
The two-times lawmaker also said he had so far secured employment for no fewer than 45 youths into the Federal Civil Service and more are coming.
“I have secured jobs opportunities in various ministries, departments and agencies of the Federal Government so far. My plant is to secure over 150 job offers to my constituency.
“I believe when you empower a person or get him a job, it will not only help him alone but with many more around him”, he said.
The lawmaker also called on the beneficiaries to make good utilization of the empowerment packages and for those that got jobs to be good Ambassadors of Katsina State at their various places of work.
He also urged the people that are yet to benefit to exercise some patient as enough of the packages to go round are coming.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with Katsina Post expressed their happiness over the empowerment and promised to continue to support the lawmaker and the ruling party at all levels.
