Katsina Airforce Forward Operating Base Gets New Commanding Officer
The 213 Forward Operating Base of the Nigerian Airforce in Katsina State has get a new Commanding Officer.
Katsina Post learnt that the newly appointed officer is Group Captain Henry Eze.
Already, Captain Eze paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari and the Katsina State Chief Judge, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar at their offices.
During his visit, Mr Eze said he the visit is to familiarize with them and solicit for their support.
Recall that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) commissioned the 213 Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Katsina and the Quick Response Wing (QRW) Daura in 2017.
The idea behind the establishment of the new units is to extend the reach of the NAF to the Northwest Geopolitical Zone, having already made appreciable contributions in different theatres of operations across the country.
The 213 FOB is thus structured to shorten NAF’s response time while extending its reach in supporting air operations to deal with threats to Nigerians.
