Katsina teachers training to restore state’s education glory – Coordinator
The ongoing teachers training in Katsina State is aimed at restoring the state’s education glory in the country, says Dr. Mukhtar Al-kasim, the training coordinator.
In a chat with Katsina Post shortly after monitoring the ongoing training at the three (3) centers of Safana, Dutsin-ma and Kankia Local Governments, Dr Mukhtar also urged the teachers to put to use all the knowledge they acquired during the training when they return to their classes.
According to him: “The training is aimed at rejuvenating the teachers and awaking them to deliver on their responsibility as among the major stakeholders in society building.
“I want to call on all the participants to make use of all the new knowledge and tools provided to them during the training in their classrooms for quality education delivery.”
Explaining the uniqueness of the training, Dr Al-kasim said the training is broadly classified into two; the tools developed by the Pleasant Library and Book Club which includes the Go-Teacher+, ABM library and ktsteachers.com as well as the teaching aspect which includes use of English, teachers motivation and classroom management among others.
Cross section of the training participants who spoke to Katsina Post expressed their gratitude to the State Government for the training and promised to reciprocate the gesture by redoubling their efforts.
Katsina Post learnt that over 32,000 primary and secondary schools teachers across the state will benefit with the training organized by the Pleasant Library and Book Club, PLBC and sponsored by the Katsina State government.
So far, teachers from 17 out of 34 Local Government Areas of Katsina State have benefited from the training.
