Work begins for the construction of Transportation University, Daura
Work reportedly began for the construction of the Transportation University, Daura.
Katsina Post learnt that tippers, rollers and other construction vehicles and engines as well as laborers and engineers are seen at the site working tirelessly.
Already, some structures have been erected but it’s difficult to identify which is what, for now.
The proposed site for the university is being cleared in preparation for the erection of buildings and the university fence.
Recall that the Katsina State government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari has provided land for the construction of the University.
Sometime ago also, the President Muhammadu Buhari in a well attended ceremony flagged-off the construction of the University.
Also recall that the construction of the $50 million (N18bn) Transportation University to be located in Daura, will start this year, according to the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi.
The university is to be built by China Civil and Construction Company (CCECC) and is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to develop qualified manpower that will manage the many railways’ facilities across the country and other transportation facilities, Amaechi added.
