Katsina gov’t to establish 2 new higher institutions in Funtua, Daura
The Katsina State government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari has perfected its plans to establish two higher institutions in Daura and Funtua zone.
This is in addition to the construct two (2) flyovers in Katsina metropolis, Katsina Post learned.
The higher institutions to be established are School of Nursing at Funtua Local Government Area and School of Midwifery at Mani Local Government Area of Katsina State.
These flyovers will be constructed at the Kofar Kwaya and Kofar Kaura roundabouts.
This was disclosed to newsmen in Katsina by the Katsina State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon Farouk Lawal Jobe.
According to him, the two flyovers and the higher institutions are going to be financed with part the N50bn loan facility the state government is intending to secure to finance the 2021 budget.
Hon Jobe also debunked claims from some quarters that the Katsina State government is hugely indebted saying that Katsina is the second least indebted state among the 36 states of the federation.
He also gave assurance that all the projects across the state already started and those to be started will be completed before the end of the Governor Aminu Bello Masari’s administration.
