Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Thursday paid condolence visit to the family of Late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
Speaking in Zaria at the Palace of the Emir, Masari described his death as a great loss to Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
The Governor also prayed Almighy Allah to grant him eternal rest and would grant the Family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The governor was accompanied by state deputy Governor, QS Mannir Yakubu, SGS Mustapha Inuwa, State APC Chairman, Shitu S. Shitu, Chief-of-Staff, Muntari Lawal, Commissioners, Special Advisers among others.
The 18th Emir of Zazzau, Late Shehu Idris died at the age of 84.
The emir died on Sunday at 44 Nigerian Army Hospital, Kaduna following an undisclosed illness.
He is survived by four wives, many children as well as grand and great-grandchildren.
