Security fund: Buratai, Kanti threatens court action against Katsina whistleblower Mahdi Shehu
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai and the Katsina State’s Hon Commissioner for Resources Development, Alhaji Mustapha Mahmud Kanti have threatened to file a N10 billion libel suit against a Kaduna-based business man, Alhaji Mahdi Shehu over alleged claims that the army chief and the Commissioner recently received N250 million and N125 million cash respectively from Katsina state government recently.
Counsel to Buratai and Kanti Barr Usuagwu Ogochukwu and Sule Shu’aibu made his client’s position known in a separate letter to the business man and seen by Katsina Post.
They both described the allegations against them as malicious, false, fabricated, malicious, and fact-less which the accuser, Mahdi Shehu failed to substantiate.
To that effect, Buratai and Kanti demanded for a retraction
