Police arrest foreigner bandit from Chad Republic operating in Katsina 

The Katsina State police command has succeeded in arresting two notorious bandits Usman Mohd and Usman Hassan during a sting operation at Yantumaki village, Faskari LGA of Katsina State on 01/07/2020 at about 03:00hrs.

One of the arrested bandits, Usman Mohd, 30 years of age, the police said is a Chadian rebel while Usman Hassan is an indigene of Sokoto state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the police public relations officer, SP Gambo Isah.

According to the statement, “In the course of investigation Usman Mohd confessed to be a Chadian rebel and in possession various types of lethal weapons.

“Investigation is ongoing.”

ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS MEMBER OF KIDNAP FOR RANSOM SYNDICATE:

In a similar incident, On 10/06/2020 at about 15:00hrs, based on credible intelligence, the Police command succeeded in arresting one Bishiri Mamuda, ‘m’, aged 35yrs of Yantumaki village, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state.

Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he sent threat text messages to one Muhammed Dogo, ‘m’ of the same address, that he should pay the sum of N2 million or risked been kidnapped.

In the course of investigation suspect confessed to the commission of the offence and stated that he collected the sum of three hundred and forty thousand naira (N340,000:00K) and recharge cards of thirty thousand naira (N30,000:00K) from the victim.

Investigation is ongoing.
