Dangote foundation donate items worth millions of Naira to Katsina IDPs
Katsina State government has received a donation of items worth millions of naira by Dangote foundation.
The deputy governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu received the donation on behalf of the state government.
The items include ten thousand pieces of mats and cardigans each as well as ten thousand pieces of dealers of clothes.
The items were provided for distribution to the internally displaced persons across the state.
The deputy governor represented by the permanent secretary ministry of agric Isyaku Ahmad Karofi commended the Dangote foundation over the gesture which he described as timely.
Alh Mannir Yakubu recalled that the foundation had recently distributed millions of naira to women across the thirty four local government areas of the state to boost their economy.
While assuring judicious distribution of the items the deputy governor said the foundation has sent trailers of foodstuff which will be distributed to people as covid 19 palliative.
The Deputy governor called for more support to the IDPs to enable them feel a sense of belonging.
The representative of the Dangote foundation Sanusi Ahmad Abdukadir said the gesture was meant to assist the IDPs to enable them feel at home.
He said the foundation has also donated the sum of five million naira through the state chapter of FOMWAN support to the Women IDPs across the state.
While praying for Allah to bring to an end the Armed banditry facing some parts of the state,the representative of the foundation called for judicious distribution of the items to the targetted people.
