Corona Virus: UBA donate N28.5m to Katsina State government
United Bank for Africa (UBA), Katsina State branch has donated the sum of N28.5m to Katsina State government as part of its aide to the State government to fight the dreaded COVID-19 Pandemic in the state.
Katsina Post learned that the bank branch manager, Bello Muhammad, presented the cheque for the donation to the Katsina State Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari on Monday morning at his office.
While presenting the cheque, the branch manager said the bank will continue to help the state in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Muhammad said the bank had earmarked Five Billion Naira for onward donation to 19 African countries where the bank has branches as part of its contribution to tackle the virus.
In his remarks, Governor Aminu Bello Masari said the state government will continue to do everything humanly possible to prevent the state from the virus.
Masari noted that his administration has intensified efforts in sensitising the general public on what to avoid as well provided the needed health facilities for the prevention of the virus in the state.
Recall that the headquarters of the UBA Bank had earlier announced the donation of N5bn onward to 19 African countries where the bank has branches as part of its contribution to tackle the virus.
