Buhari’s ministers storm Katsina for Special Town Hall meeting on insecurity
The President Muhammadu Buhari’s Ministers of Defence, Information & Culture and Interior, Bashir Magashi, Lai Mohammed and Rauf Aregbesola have flown from Abuja to Katsina State for a one-day Special Town Hall meeting.
Recall that banditry, cattle-rustling, and kidnapping have become synonymous with the states of Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kaduna.
According to a statement from the ministry of information and culture, the special meeting is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the ongoing insecurity in the Northwest geopolitical zone.
“The Special Town Hall Meeting is designed to provide a veritable platform for citizens engagement on government policies, programmes and activities.
“The platform also serves as a good avenue to ventilate on grey areas; modify policies and seek genuine involvement in governance,” the statement said.
