Gov Masari visits Nigeria ‘Prison’ headquarters, promise more support in Katsina
Governor Aminu Bello Masari this Friday morning paid a working visit to the headquarters of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Abuja.
On arrival, the Governor was received by the comptroller general of the service, Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed.
Alhaji Aminu Masari told the comptroller general that he was in his office for cross fertilization of ideas on the way to continue assisting the service in katsina state.
He said now that the service had been provided with the right atmosphere to correct erring members of the society, the state government would key to assist within the limited resources at its disposal.
Responding, the comptroller general of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed commended Governor Masari for the tramendous support being rendered to the service in Katsina State.
Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed explained that such assistance had made his men and officers to perform their assigned responsibilities with relative ease.
He said the service would continue to count on the Governor for more support in that regard.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari was accompanied during the visit by the Deputy speaker of katsina state House of Assembly, Engineer Shehu Usman Dalha Tafoki and the permanent secretary for Administration, Alhaji A. D. Umar Danja among others.
