Rt Hon Abubakar Yahaya make case for flood victims of Kankia, Ingawa, Kusada

The Honorable member representing Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada has presented a motion seeking for the House intervention regarding the victims of flooding in Kankia and Ingawa.

Hon. Kusada who presented his case on Thursday during the House Plenary in a matter of urgent public importance notified the House that a torrential rainfall on 17th June 2019, destroyed more than 10,000 houses in Kusada, Kankia, and Ingawa local government areas.

Also, schools, clinics, markets, and farmlands were people earned for a living were all submerged according to the former Katsina State House of Assembly Speaker.

After the motion, the house resolved to “Urge the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to send relief materials to the victims in these areas affected in the form of mattresses, pillow, blankets, roofing sheets, cement, various foodstuffs e.t.c.”

The House also resolved to send a high powered delegation to commensurate with the victims in the areas affected by the flood.
