The S-Power beneficiaries in Funtua local government area of Katsina state on the auspices of S-Power (Graduates) Union, Zonal Education Quality Assurance Funtua, has lauded the state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, for creating the initiative and temporarily employing thousands of teeming youths in the state.
In a statement issued to journalists by the chairman of the union, Yusuf Hamza Mudi Maska, the group said it was grateful to Governor Masari for the opportunity even as it called on him to convert the beneficiaries to permanent staff as he had done to 867 NCE holders out of 5,000 who also served under the S-Power program in the state.
Maska said Masari promised the 2,000-degree holders serving in the S-Power scheme permanent job offers, hence it is time for the governor to fulfill his promise having done same for NCE holders under the scheme.
“Our appreciation to the Governor Aminu Bello Masari for the award of S-Power appointment which is a temporary appointment of two years to teach in secondary schools. We congratulate the Governor for successfully winning the second term election,” he said.
He added that the challenge of insecurity in the state and the nation at large should be looked into by concerned authorities even as he prayed for a successful swearing-in ceremony to the Next Level tenure for Governor Masari on May 29.
