On the controversial banning of public meeting by Governor Aminu Bello Masari which captures the National daily’s headlines. The special adviser to the state governor on radio monitoring Mansur Ali Mashi has regard the report been speculated as baseless lacking element of fact. The special adviser stated this on radio programme Kowane Tsuntsu hosted by vision FM Katsina.
The S.A radio spoke at length on the alleged report stating that Masari only banned gathering that will be of security threat to the people of the state. “I want to make it clear on the alleged law of banning public gathering as being speculated and misinterpreted by some people. The law signed by the state governor was mainly targeted to stop any grouping that will be of security threat to the good people of Katsina state.” He said
He continued “I was shocked by how mischief makers taking the advantage of the law as a tool for their political activism. Some saying even religious and wedding gatherings were included. This is clearly a false accusation.”
The special adviser however appealed to the masses revoke any rumor and seek the actual truth from relevant media.
