Actual number of people Masari traveled with to Lagos award collection revealed (READ)
A former high ranking official at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Eyo Ekpo, has claimed that a Nigerian governor allegedly paid for 150 rooms in a hotel in Lagos.
According to the NERC former boss on Twitter some hours ago, the unnamed governor paid for the rooms in a expensive hotel just so that the guests can watch him collect an award from a Nigerian newspaper.
However, KATSINA POST checks revealed that only Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State who emerged as winner of the award on Courage in Leadership at The Sun 2016 award ceremony attended the event on Saturday, 18th of February, 2017 in Lagos. The award was presented to him by former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
Already, pictures of the event attended by numerous Katsina State dignitaries are continue to flood the Facebook timelines of many Katsina people.
However, when we call the S.A. on New Media Abdulhadi Ahmad Bawa, he stated unequivocally that the allegation that he travelled with 150 delegations or that he booked 150 hotel rooms can not be true. He stated “it can’t be true”.
According to him, the Governor travelled with five (5) Special adviser, five (5) commissioners, five (5) Honorable State House of assembly members and some of his ‘aids’ and journalists. He further stated that “all in all, we are not forty (40).
