Reports reaching KATSINA POST has it that Katsina State’s ex-Governor Shema has escaped EFCC arrest today at court premises after his case against them was adjourned to 21st February.
We can reliably gathered that a mild drama ensued today in the court premises when EFCC wanted to apprehend Shema and force him into their vehicle after court hearing. This according to our multiple sources was abortive as Shema and his supporters resisted their move.
It was later on that Shema was whisked and sneaked out of the court premises by his supporters.
KATSINA POST checks further reveals that Ibrahim Shema is now safely in his home town – Dutsin-ma local government with his hundreds of supporters, friends and well wishers as well as some PDP party stakeholders.
It could be recalled that In September, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared him wanted for allegedly refusing to honour its invitation.
Shema has denied the allegations of corruption levelled against him, accusing Bello Masari, his successor, of witch-hunting him.
