Breaking: Tata ‘officially’ received back to PDP, vows to reclaim ‘their’ mandate
The 2015 All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA gubernatorial candidate in Katsina Abdullahi Umar Tsauri ‘TATA’ has rejoined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Tata left the PDP in the run to the PDP gubernatorial primaries in 2015 to APGA to execute his guber ambition.
At a grand reception to usher him into the party, Tata was received by the party’s leadership under Salisu Majigiri and other party chieftains.
It could be recalled that KATSINA POST had earlier reported that Tata rejoined PDP sometimes last year but was not formally received into the party.
While addressing hundreds of the party supporters that trooped the PDP secretariat, Tata stated that he has surrendered himself and all his supporters to the mother party. Tata also unequivocally stated that he did not come to the secretariat as an aspirant but rather a loyal party member and that it is not yet time to start jostling for party ticket.
Tata also assured the party faithful that he is ready to fight and reclaim the party’s mandate come 2019 while also advising the party leadership never to relent and just assume that the APC is not working.
According to him: “We must work very hard if we really want to reclaim our mandate and we must start now. As for me, I am ready for the fight.”
