Katsina: 40% Of Doctors Working In Hospitals Are On Contract Basis ; Says D.G Hospital Service Management Board
The general manager Katsina state hospital service management board Dr. Abdul-Jalil Umar Abdullahi has charged graduating medical student who studied medicine from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to come home and save their communities. The general manager made the call while delivering a lecture titled “Katsina state need your service as Doctors” In a walima organized by Katsina state medical students union A.B.U chapter for the graduating students.
Dr. Abdul-jalil Umar says about 40% of Doctors working in various hospitals across the state are on contract basis hence the need for the state government to be sponsoring indigene of the state to study medicine to fill in the gap. He also charged them to be patient, hardworking, and discipline wherever they found themselves saying as graduating Doctors they should learn from other people working in the hospital environment.
However, the chairman of the occasion professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi urged the graduating students to go back to their communities to work hard and develop their people. The outgoing president of the union Dr. Muhammad Danja assured to come back home to serve his community.
