Katsina assembly extends tenure of LG chairmen to 3 years

The Katsina State House of Assembly has amended the State Local ¬†Government Law, 2012, by extending the tenure of local government chairmen by one year: from two to three years. Equally, the assembly has introduced qualification to the power of the governor on appointing a transition committee or sole administrators subject to the confirmation of the house.
