Katsina State represented by Government College (DW) Funtua has won first position at the North West Geo political Zone level of the Solar Energy Technology Competition  held at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto on 18th October 2017. The winning project “multipurpose solar collector system” emerged the champion with a cash prize of N250,000, while students from Sokoto and Kaduna State emerged second and third positions respectively. Buhari approves N236m for Sabke dam irrigation project in Katsina

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved N236 million for the completion of Sabke Irrigation Dam in Katsina State. Addressing state house correspondents after the council’s weekly meeting in Abuja, Suleiman Adamu, minister of water resources, said the contract for the dam was initially awarded in 1997. Hajj: Katsina Government gives ‘sallah gift’ of N30,000 to its pilgrims

The Katsina State Government has announced donation of N147.9 million equivalent to SRA1.5 million (Saudi Riyals) to its 4,930 pilgrims as ‘Sallah gift’ during the 2017 hajj.
