FUDMA Gets New Deputy Vice Chancellor, Others
The Senate of Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina state, has elected Dr. Aminu Ado as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic.
He was elected at a special Senate Meeting held on Thursday, 23rd September, 2021 at the Senate’s Chamber, university Main campus.
The election of the new DVC was sequel to the demise of late Prof Lawal Abdu Saulawa who served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic to the current Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi.
Until his election as the new DVC, Dr. Aminu Ado was the Acting Dean, Faculty of Life Science.
The Senate also elected the Director Research and Development, Dr. Muhammad Gazali Garba to serve as its Representative to council. Dr. Gazali was elected as the Senate Representative to Council following the termination of appointment of Prof. Rashid A. Hamzat who was the Senate Representative to Council.
The Senate also at the same Special Meeting elected the Acting Dean, Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, Dr. Kelechi Jude as its representative in the Advisory Board of the University Directorate of Entrepreneurship Development Centre.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi who chaired the Senate meeting urged the newly elected Senate’s Representatives to be good Ambassadors in the discharge of their duties.
The Vice Chancellor also solicits more support and cooperation of the Senate members to enable him make FUDMA more conducive for teaching and learning.
