KEDCO To Customers: Be Ready For Load shedding
KEDCO Announces Loadsheding In Katsina Others
Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has urged customers in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States to be ready to experience Load shedding because of reduced load allocation.
KEDCO, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Ibrahim Sani Shawai said its load allocation was reduced by 127MW from the current 365MW hence the load shedding.
He appealed to customers in the affected areas to embark on efficient energy management while maintenance lasts to minimise the impact of the load shedding.
According to shawai, maintenance work by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on 330KV Makurdi-Jos Line has commenced and is expected to last till October 9.
“This is to ensure efficient and effective power reliability as well as the need to provide an environment where public safety risks are minimized,” he said.
