Katsina Technology Group Develops Crime Predicting App Before It Happened
A three-man young Katsina developers group have developed a software application that helps in predicting crimes and criminal activities before it even happen.
The team of the developers led by Abdullahi Wada Umar, a Katsina State indigene also participated in the just concluded Artificial Intelligence Competition in Nigeria and Ghana where they won third position.
Katsina Post learned that the competition, held virtually had over four hundred (400) contestants.
Speaking with Katsina Post, Abdullahi Wada Umar said the software is designed to Artificial Intelligence and machine learning tricks to accurately analyze all available data and predict the probability of a crime occurring in a particular location at a particular time.
Abdullahi Wada Umar added that his team gathered alot of data from previous documented crimes including the crime scenes, time and weather which they used to train the machine to make accurate predictions base on percentage.
Katsina Post gathered that other team members are Alfred Chibuze and Ibrahim Saulawa.
