Masari’s Aide Felicitates With Igbo Nation, Urges Unity
The Special Assistant to Governor of Katsina State on indigenous people, Mr Okonkwo has felicitate with all Igbos world wide as they celebrates yam festival.
Yam festival, an age-long festival, is known by several names including Iri ji, Onwa Asaa, Iwa Ji or Orurueshi, among others, in various communities across Igbo land and has since remained the people’s custom and tradition.
The festival, Katsina Post learnt attracts indigenes of various communities, including those in the Diaspora, their friends and well-wishers.
In an interview with Katsina Post, Mr Okonkwo also commended the pan Igbo socio-political group, and other peace loving Igbos worldwide for their stance on the recently suspended sit-at-home-order by IPOB.
Mr Okonkwo further stressed that destroying the socio-economic activities of the South-East and Nigeria will never be a good way of achieving result.
According to him, what peace didn’t achieved, violence will not achieve it too.
