Masari’s aide call on Igbos to shun IPOB’s divisive agenda, sit-at-home order

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Katsina State on indigenous people residing in Katsina, Prince Uche Okonkwo has called on all Igbos across the nation to shun Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB’s sit at home order.

Mr. Okonkwo’s call is coming in the heat of IPOB’s declaration of every Monday as a sit-at-home day in the Southeast starting from Monday, August 9, 2021.

In an interview with Katsina Post, Mr Okonkwo called on all Igbos in Katsina and Nigeria in general not to engage in anything amounting to agitation for secession.

“I am calling on my people to desist from joining any form of protest and agitation capable of causing tension across the country.

“I am also calling on them to avoid unnecessary ethnic gatherings or meetings that will draw attention at this period because of unpatriotic plans by IPOB members to cause unrest in some parts of the country.”

While appreciating Governor Masari’s just and inclusive leadership in Katsina State, Mr Okonkwo urged the indigenous residents in the state and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by supporting his administration.
