Federal College of Education Katsina has revealed that one of it student, Abbas Yahaya, has lost his life after a brief illness.
Katsina Post learnt that the deceased lost his life in his rented off-campus apartment located at a neighbouring village near the College.
Also, it was revealed that until his death, the deceased has received medical care at the school clinic before being transferred to General Amadi Rimi Orthopaedic Hospital for further treatment.
The Provost of the College, Dr Aliyu Idris Funtua while conveying his condolence to the deceased Family in a chat with our correspondent disclosed that Abbas was an NCE I student of the Department of Social Studies until his painful death.
He maintained that the incident occurred on Saturday in his rented apartment after a brief illness despite receiving appropriate medical attention at the college’s clinic and later at General Amadi Rimi Orthopaedic.”
“The college is always committed to providing adequate health care and all necessary medications for sick students so as improve the general well-being of the students,” The Provost added
The Provost, however, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest and bless him with the highest Jannatul Firdaus.
Katsina Post learnt that the deceased has already been taken to his hometown in Lere Local Government Area Kaduna state for Islamic-rite.
