The Katsina State High Court Daura appeal session has adjourned the case before it between Mahdi Shehu and Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa to 9th August, 2021.
This was disclosed by the leader of the appeal session, Justice Hajaratu Haj Lawal during the Daura appeal session on the case on Monday, 26th July, 2021.
Katsina Post learnt that the adjournment was sequel to a prayer by the counsel of the appellant, Barrister Paul Bande on the need to have enough time to respond to a motion of notice by the counsel to the respondent.
According to him, he was served with the motion of notice on the 23rd July, 2021 and the rule of the court provided that he has seven days to respond.
To this end, Barrister Bande requested that the case be adjourned to the next appeal session.
Consequently, the counsel to the respondent, Barrister Ibrahim Sabo did not objected the appellant prayers.
The next appeal session will be held in Funtua on the 9th August, 2021.
