The Emir of Katsina, HRH Abdulmumi Kabir Usman has approved the appointment of the former Grand Khadi of Katsina state, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Batagarawa, OFR as Alkalin Lardin Katsina.
The appointment letter dated 12th July 2021 as seen by our correspondent signed by the Secretary of the Emirate Council, Alhaji Bello Mamman Ifo on behalf of the Emir.
The letter reads as follows:
“His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman has directed me to inform you of your appointment as the Special Assistant on Sharia Matters in the Emirate Council (Alkalin Lardin Katsina).”
The Emir, however, wished the appointee success while discharging his new duty.
Katsina Post reported that Alhaji Ahmad Bataragawa was the 3rd Grand Khadi of Katsina state, held office from 1996-2000. He was the pioneer Chairman of the Katsina State Sharia Commission. He is the current Chief-Imam of the Central Mosque in Katsina.
