Gov Masari commissions Islamic Center in hometown, Kafur
Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has commissioned an Islamic Center built by a Kuwait based charity group, Revival of Islamic Heritage in Kafur.
Katsina Post learnt that the commissioning ceremony on Friday.
The Governor who declared that banditry and related violent attacks on residents has no roots in the culture of Katsina indigenes also wondered why a group of people who shared common heritage and culture suddenly turned against each other in the state.
He said: ‘’Security in this part of the country, has no tribal, or religious or political inclination but pitches brother against a brother, dogs eating dogs’’.
“But these people were living peacefully before, attending the same common market, mosque, ceremonies both Islam and traditional without any conflict. How come they turned overnight and start killing themselves.’’
‘’We have to examine ourselves, where have we gone wrong and I do believe something like this with a good education will help in bringing out a better society.’’
Earlier, the representative of the non-governmental organisation, Sheikh Safaki Rullah Jumat, thanked the Governor for his support and donation of land for the building of the center.
