Time for PDP leaders in Katsina to wake up and take on their responsibilities – By Muhammad Lawal Rufa’i
If not the worst-performing government Nigeria has ever seen, the current Katsina State (APC) Government is undoubtedly one of the worst-performing governments the country has ever seen.
The most significant factor as to why the (APC) administration has performed terribly and outrageously poorly is INCOMPETENCE. Unfortunately, a very WEAK OPPOSITION (PDP) has also been a contributing factor.
The (APC) administration in the state has not fulfilled one single campaign promise it made to the state citizens six years into its reign, and it has not recorded any major project in its six years in power. The (APC) administration has not adequately maintained the infrastructures it inherited but has instead sold most and has given out some as collateral. The education and health sectors have been nothing but disaster under their watch. The (APC) administration has accumulated over 150b Naira loan in six years for the state with absolutely nothing to show for it, and the list of failures goes on.
If after this woeful performance, the (APC) administration and any APC member in Katsina still have the guts or confidence to talk or boast of anything to anyone in terms of performance, then the opposition party PDP and all its state leaders should ask themselves what they’re doing as opposition and opposition leaders because it doesn’t seem like Katsina State PDP is in any way a serious opposition party.
It is high time the Katsina State PDP wakes up from its sleep to put this failed (APC) administration on its toes by reminding the state citizens of the campaign promises made by this (APC) administration and how it has been unable to fulfill any of them. It is time for PDP to publicize the many failures of this (APC) administration and remind the citizens of Katsina how much good PDP brought to the state in its 16 years of YAR’ADUA & SHEMA administrations; it is one of the responsibilities of the opposition party leaders which seems to have been neglected and as such things have gotten way out of hand.
I CALL ON THE KATSINA STATE PDP (LEADERS) TO WAKE UP AND DO THE NEEDFUL!
