Katsina Judiciary Staff Begins Indefinite Strike
The Katsina State Chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria JUSUN says it has shut down all courts in the state to ensure full compliance of the indefinite strike embarked by the union nationwide.
The State Vice Chairman of the Union Comrade Yusuf Sani stated this in an interview with our Judicial Correspondent in Katsina.
Comrade Yusuf Sani said the strike was necessitated by the failure of the federal and state governments to implement a judgement of the Federal High Court, which granted financial autonomy to the judicial arm of government.
He said all the courts in the state will remain locked until further notice from the National Secretariat of JUSUN Abuja.
Our correspondent who arrived at the entrance of the State High Court met the gate locked as the area was deserted.
