Katsina gov’t to spend over N900m for 3km road
The Katsina State Government has handed over the construction of a 3km road linking Katsina and Maradi in Niger Republic to the construction firm.
The 3km road, Katsina Post learnt will pass through Jibiyar Maje in Jibiya Local Government Area of Katsina State to Tashar Aibo in Maradi.
While handing over the road, the Commissioner For Works, Housing and Transport, Alhaji Tasiu Dandagoro represented by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Engr Bilyaminu Albaba said the road will cost the state over N900m.
Engineer Albaba also said the road is expected to be completed in 6 months.
While comment, representative of Niger Republic, Alhaji Abdullahi Mamman commended the Katsina State government for the project adding that the road will further cement the bond between the two sister countries and improve their economic activities.
Also, the representative of the company that will carryout the work, Engr Jahad Malak assured the Katsina State government of timely completion of the project.
