Katsina community cry for help over rising spike of kidnappings
Worried by the spate of kidnappings in their area, Gozaki community in Kafur local government area of Katsina state has cried to the government to come to their rescue.
A community leader of the area who spoke to blueinknews on condition of anonymity said ” the fear of kidnappers is the first law of staying alive in the area”.
He alleged that last Monday the dare devil kidnappers abducted two married women in the area.
“One of the woman is a wife of an immigration officer while the second one is the wife of a businessman” he added.
According to him,” there was a time my step mother was kidnapped where I personally contributed money to secure her freedom”.
He further disclosed that sometime back a Fulani leader residing at the outskirts of the town was killed by the heartless abductors.
The community leader alleged that despite their predicament there were according to him “no concerns from the relevant authorities”.
He warned that if no help reach them on time most residents of the area will flee to safer areas.
