Pandemonium as 2 courts await Katsina whistleblower, Mahdi Shehu today
There is currently a sense of confusion and suspense in the minds of many people in Katsina State as two courts want whistleblower, Mahdi Shehu to appear before them today.
The courts, Katsina Post learnt are the Federal High Court in Katsina and a Shari’a Court of Appeal in Dutsin-ma.
While Mahdi Shehu was dragged before the Federal High Court by the Katsina State Governor, he was dragged to the Shari’a court by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa.
Mahdi Shehu failed to appear before both the courts previously and also challenged the jurisdiction of the Shari’a Court which prompted the appeal.
Recall that the whistleblower is currently under the police custody in Katsina after they arrested him in Abuja in the middle of February allegedly on the order of the Inspector General of Police.
The embattled businessman had in a series of videos, audios on social media platforms and other conventional media fora made series of allegations against the Katsina State government and many of its key personalities of financial mismanagement and fraud.
He was also previously arrested by the police but got released on bail.
