NGO campaigns against child abuse in Katsina
A non-governmental organization, Save The Children International (SCI) has commenced a Mobilisation and Advocacy Campaign on Children Development at the Local Level at communities of Rimi and Sandamu Local Government Areas.
The Communities involved are Fago and Katsayal of Sandamu, while Kadandani and Rimin Guza to that of Rimi Local Government Area.
During the programme, the community members; Parents, caregivers, leaders were enlightened on the significance of Girl Education, School enrolment, Child Safeguarding, parent responsibilities and the effect of Child-abuse.
At the end of the Campaign, all caregivers showed appreciations through signatures, to formerly acknowledged the SCI’s Advocacy campaign.
The SCI encouraged members of such communities to expose any form of Child maltreatment through a particular GSM line given to them.
