Katsina gov’t distribute 3,500 infrared thermometers to schools ahead of resumption
The Katsina State Government has provided Three Thousand Five Hundred Infrared Thermometers Apparatus to State Universal Basic Education Board “SUBEB” for onward distribution to Primary Schools, Junior Secondary Schools and Integrated Qur’anic Schools across the State.
Launching the distribution of the Thermometers, the SUBEB Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura Represented by the Board Secretary, Alhaji Isah Muhammad explained that, the Thermometers will be distributed across the Thirty Four Local Governments of the State.
Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura further said the Thermometers were provided through the BESDA Programme in the State to ensure full compliance to Covid-19 guidelines prior to Schools resumption.
He enjoined the Education Secretaries across the Thirty Four Local Governments to ensure proper orientation on how to handle the Thermometers for proper utilization.
Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura commended the State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari for his zeal towards ensuring sound knowledge to Pupils as well as the commitment to contain the Covid-19 spread.
Speaking on behalf of the Education Secretaries, the Forum Chairman, Usman Umar Mai’adua commended the State Government, SUBEB and BESDA for providing the Thermometers and assured for their proper utilization.
