Police arrest 35-year-old farmer for r#ping 14-year-old girl in Katsina 3 times
A 35-year-old farmer, Abdullahi Abdu of Makadama village, Batsari Local Government Area of the state has been remanded in Katsina correctional centre for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
The Katsina Magistrate Court presiding Judge who directed his remand said Abdullahi would be at the correctional centre also until March 31, 2021, when his case comes up before her for mention.
Abdullahi has been charged for rape according to section 254 of Katsina state penal code law, 2019.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Lawal Bello said Abdullahi who is a neighbour with the victim allegedly lured her to a bush in the outskirts of the village on January 1, 2021, where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her three times.
Sergeant Lawal said the victim’s father, one Usman Isah reported the incident at the Divisional police headquarters, Batsari, leading to Abdu’s arrest and arraignment in court.
